Modern hydraulic applications demand compact machines designed with tighter tolerances and that run at faster cycle times. They are designed to work with small amounts of fluids. They operate at higher pressures, temperatures, and speeds. Under these circumstances, hydraulic fluids are subjected to severe stresses. Repsol has designed new technologies to reach the right performance dealing with this harsh environment protecting the equipment and extending its life.
When developing new hydraulic fluids, Repsol products are tested for anti-wear, filterability, oxidation stability, demulsibility, and corrosion protection and other properties to ensure the right lubrication in all parts of the hydraulic system. Repsol adopts a generic approach by looking at your entire plant lubrication system rather than individual equipment, thereby ensuring the best performance.
PUMP WEAR PROTECTION to take care of the heart of the hydraulic system.
Besides the Standard limits for hydraulic oils regarding the wear, Repsol TELEX E technology has demonstrated outstanding performance in wear protection in the hydraulic pump. Around 80% less wear than other conventional oils which means longer equipment life and less maintenance cost associated with unpredicted shutdowns. Reliable technology to increase efficiency in the plant.
LUBRICANT LIFE AND SLUDGE CONTROL is the key to reduce maintenance cost drastically. REPSOL TELEX E technology has reached 5.5 times longer life than conventional oils in the market and 3.5 less sludge formation. Sludge can be incredibly damaging to hydraulic components and using a high-performance hydraulic fluid with high oxidation stability reduces the potential for sludge buildup. This translates into longer lubricant life, resulting in fewer change-outs, decreased equipment wear, and lower maintenance costs. TELEX E will provide you savings in time and money, extending service life in not only the lubricant but also in the equipment.
FILTERABILITY FEATURES TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY: It is known for many years that hydraulic oils used in either high-specification systems with precision actuation or servo-valves with fine mechanical tolerances require fine filtration. This is necessary to remove any particles that may interfere with the precision actuation or servo-valve operation. The high-performance hydraulic oils used in these systems need to be filterable. Filterability is a measure of the ability of a “clean” fluid to pass through a standard filter without clogging or plugging. Filterability of a hydraulic oil is significantly influenced by the additives used in the formulation and by the overall hydrolytic stability of the oil. REPSOL TELEX E technology has been tested in the toughest filterability test reaching up to 40% better performance than conventional oils.
TELEX HVLP, THE RIGHT CHOICE REGARDLESS THE WORKING TEMPERATURE
HIGH VISCOSITY INDEX FOR A WIDER TEMPERATURES WINDOW: All these features previously mentioned are also present in our top tier high viscosity index TELEX HVLP product. This oil is specially formulated to maintain ideal viscosity over a wide range of temperatures. High VI value must be coupled with shear stability feature. The additive does not break down into smaller molecules due to shearing, thus preventing the viscosity to drop dramatically. When the viscosity drops, wear will appear in the pump and the output power will be reduced as well. Repsol has been researching in that field to provide a high viscosity index solution with outstanding viscosity retention throughout its lubricant lifespan. Very shear stable additive has been used to improve the performance in our TELEX HVLP compared with reference samples in the market.
